DC: National Building Museum
The National Building Museum in DC has an interactive, summer-limited art exhibit in their cavernous main hall each year. It’s always a different exhibit but its always amazing. Truly, truly amazing. We hadn’t been since the summer of 2014 and I wanted the Obertons to see it on their visit. It’s one of those museums that tourists don’t immediately know about. (It’s also not a Smithsonian, so it does have an admittance fee). This year’s exhibit was called the Fun House and featured an all white, walk-through house built entirely of styrofoam with a “backyard pool” ball pit.
It’s one of those experiences where you don’t have much to say besides “it’s amazing” over and over and then just post pictures… :)
